Deshaun Watson has the Houston Texans rolling after racist comment
He’s showing critics you can definitely count on a black QB
After an 0-2 start to the season, criticism mounted for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. But one particularly racist comment made headlines, when a local superintendent in East Texas posted on Facebook that “you can’t count on a black quarterback.”
Watson responded to the attack with more than just words. Despite losing the following game to the New York Giants, the quarterback has led the Texans on a league-leading nine-game winning streak.
Watson’s play has definitely quieted the critics, but can he lead the Texans to success they’ve never had before? The Undefeated’s senior writer Domonique Foxworth discusses whether this Texans team has what it takes to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
