Practice Squad: Week 3
A take on the weekend’s football games like you’ve never seen
Hosted by our senior writer — and former NFL cornerback— Domonique Foxworth, Practice Squad is a weekly variety show that features various segments inspired by our love of the game and filtered through our awkward, weird and subversive minds. This is not your average weekly NFL recap show.
This week’s episode features the following segments:
- Fight Night: The matchup between Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. felt more like a heavyweight fight than a football game. We did a boxing-inspired scorecard of the slugfest.
- This One Time at Training Camp: Domonique relives moments at training camp that he would probably rather repress.
- Shutdown Corner: Sometimes Domonique’s passion for the game of football can come off as a bit aggressive to his colleagues, especially when they are making small talk during their lunch break.
- The Untrained Dr. Fox: A last-minute loss can render even the most experienced fans a hot mess. Luckily, Domonique is here to help us heal. He may not be a shoulder to cry on, but laughter should be some consolation, even if it’s not with you — but at you.
We are the overlooked, the underappreciated and the overzealous.
We are the Practice Squad.
