Sports figures from all walks of life chimed in on the death of the 37-year-old Baton Rouge man

Whether it was a simple tweet including the hashtag #AltonSterling, or a more vocal response to the death of Alton Sterling, who was killed by a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police officer in front of a convenience store on Tuesday, athletes from multiple sports had something to say.

Per the owner of the convenience store, who considered Sterling his friend, the 37-year-old man was a regular, often selling CDs or DVDs in front of the store.
