NBA stars honor WNBA for 20th season

Watch: ‘You guys continue to push the envelope and break barriers.’ – LeBron James

As the WNBA celebrates its 20th season, stars from the NBA are honoring the women’s league for continuing to stretch beyond traditional boundaries and make strides in the game of basketball.

The growth of women’s basketball is evident in today’s game as players such as Maya Moore, Tamika Catchings, Elena Delle Donne, Brittney Griner and Nneka Ogwumike display their tenacity and hard work while grabbing rebounds, throwing down dunks and blocking shots night in and night out.

NBA players are increasingly supporting these lady ballers. LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul paid tribute to the WNBA during Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday.

A 30-second video was aired as part of the third installment of the season-long Watch Me Work campaign.

The players participating in the video show their appreciation for the female athletes and admire their contributions on the court.

Paul stressed his well-wishes. “Cheers to 20 more years,” he said. We agree.
