Sim Life with ‘Madden NFL 19’: Chiefs at Broncos
‘Monday Night Football’: Denver D has all the answers for K.C.’s offensive attack
I can’t lie. I’m extra geeked to sim this week’s matchup, as we have the hottest quarterback in the league so far this season, Mr. Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, who’s been putting up video game numbers. What makes this matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos even juicier is trying to see if young Mahomes can survive what outside linebacker Von Miller is bringing to the party.
Time to fire up Madden NFL 19 to see how this one projects. But first …
CHIEFS AT BRONCOS
Top things to 👀
- Can Mahomes, off to a historic start, continue to be the NFL’s hot boi?
— #WeAreMadden (@EAMaddenNFL) September 23, 2018
- You would think Mahomes would get plenty of Madden love among its QB rankings, but he’s only the eighth-highest rated with an 86 overall.
- So far the ESPN predictor is 2-for-2 this season, and in this matchup Kansas City is expected to win, receiving 57.7 percent of the vote.
- Can the Denver defense slow down Tyreek Hill, “The Cheetah”?

The way this played out on Madden is going to make Chiefs fans very upset. The Broncos jumped out to a 17-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back, getting the 34-21 win at Mile High.
K.C.’s young gunslinger was actually outplayed by Case Keenum and was under intense pressure all game, as the Broncos’ defense sacked him four times.
Chiefs wide receiver Hill came in as the big explosive threat, but it was Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders whose star shined the brightest, as he had eight receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown.
Also helping the Broncos’ cause was the running of Phillip Lindsay, who contributed two touchdown runs in the win.
You can catch Monday Night Football at 8:15p et on ESPN and the ESPN app.
