Johnson C. Smith University and Livingstone College squared off Saturday at the Commemorative Classic in Salisbury, North Carolina, with J.C. Smith emerging the winner by a score of 27-14. The game marked the 125th year of football at historically black colleges and universities; in 1892, these were the first two HBCUs to play football against one another.
